Real World: The Insight Bowl edition
Message from my boss:
Have a great Christmas break. I will watch the national news for the “Van full of friends gets violent” headlines.
He could be on track for numerous reasons.
I’m continuing to hear of icy roads during this time of year. Could be stressful riding and driving.
This is the true story…of ten friends…who decide to spend a week together in a van...

Ames Little Cyclones playing Illinois team at Hilton. If a game at the university wasn’t big enough, it’s on ESPN. Those high school kids are probably on cloud nine. At least it’ll give Harrison Barnes a chance to play at Hilton before he heads to North Carolina. Hope he feels a little sadness.

Anti-snow
As the world gets excited about the first winter snow storm, I am against the excitement.

When the past comes back to haunt you
S: I am going to try very hard to be able to remember this bowl game.
Me: S and I both promise really hard to remember and not embarrass ourselves or others at this bowl game. B also promises because he's got one mark against him in bowl game appearances.
A: If no one embarrasses themselves then I’ll be extremely surprised and disappointed.
*I'm not reminding you of this story. In summary, I had a bad experience at my last bowl game. I didn't make it out for New Year's Eve and neither did S. At the time we didn't know each other, but when we met, this story alone solidified the friendship. I think I'll let someone else embarrass themselves this year.

The better part of one day spent in mass message...
A: The [redacted] are up for driving down. Our vote would be to pay more for all riding together. With it being such a long drive, the more people in the car the better to help pass the time.
Me: Admit it, you're afraid I'll be in the other car.
A: Actually, I was afraid if you, J, and S were in the same car by yourselves you’d end up driving through ditches to stop at every townie bar between Iowa and Arizona. I’m just trying to make sure you 3 make it to the game by the 31st.
Me: Even better idea!
*You all remember that story, right? On our way to a bachelorette party and we decided the trip would be better if we started a small town bar crawl. Needless to say, we showed up to the b-party late and semi-intoxicated. The bride loved it! And I know she's been waiting to have her own experience on a road trip with us.

Wrote this post once only to have it not upload on my phone. First time around used up all my creative writing.
Spent all day waiting to do testing that I learned about in an all day conference call yesterday.
Battled a sinus-filled headache and ear ache.
Tried completing a flyer that is due in an unrealistic amount of time.
Went to lunch with my husband!
